Data processing
Array data were normalized by the RMA algorithm using Affymetrix Expression Console. Gene and Gene Ontology (GO) annotations were determined for each probe set according to the annotation files published in the Affymetrix website (www.affymetrix.com). Data was transformed to log 2 scale and a threshold of 5 was applied.
