Label protocol SuperAmp RNA amplification was performed according to Miltenyi Biotec's undisclosed procedure. The amplification is based on a global PCR protocol using mRNA-derived cDNA. 250 ng of each of the cDNAs were used as template for Cy3 and Cy5 labeling which was performed according to Miltenyi Biotec's undisclosed protocol. OM-OECs are labeled with Cy5 and OB-OECs are labeled with Cy3.

Hybridization protocol The corresponding Cy3- and Cy5-labeled cDNAs were combined and hybridized overnight (17 hours, 65°C) to Agilent Whole Rat Genome Oligo Microarrays 4x44K using Agilent's recommended hybridization chamber and oven.
Scan protocol Agilent's DNA microarray scanner (Agilent Technologies).
Description Biological replicate 3 of 4.
Data processing Images were quantified using Agilent Feature Extraction Software (version 9.1). Agilent Feature Extraction Software was used for background subtraction and Linear LOWESS normalization.
