    What's a GeneRIF?
    1. The nonclassical class I molecule TL (T18d) spontaneously folds in vitro in the absence of peptides or other potential ligands and demonstrates by far UV-circular dichroism studies that it has structural features similar to classical class I molecules.

    2. The extracellular domains of 27 new TL sequences from 10 species of Mus have been characterized that show hyperconservation of the putative antigen recognition site, based on the ratio of nonsynonymous and synonymous substitution.

    3. The stronger affinity of the TL Ag for CD8alphaalpha is largely mediated by three amino acids on exposed loops of the conserved alpha3 domain.
