ZINC FINGER PROTEIN 510; ZNF510

Alternative titles; symbols

KIAA0972

HGNC Approved Gene Symbol: ZNF510

Cytogenetic location: 9q22.33     Genomic coordinates (GRCh38): 9:96,754,553-96,778,087 (from NCBI)

TEXT

Cloning and Expression

Nagase et al. (1999) cloned ZNF510, which they called KIAA0972, from a human brain cDNA library. The deduced protein contains 683 amino acids and shares significant homology with human ZNF175 (601139). RT-PCR ELISA detected ZNF510 expression in all adult and fetal human tissues and human brain regions examined.

Mapping

By radiation hybrid analysis, Nagase et al. (1999) mapped the ZNF510 gene to chromosome 9.

Gross (2021) mapped the ZNF510 gene to chromosome 9q22.33 based on an alignment of the ZNF510 sequence (GenBank AB023189) with the genomic sequence (GRCh38).
