Welcome to the development area for haplotype specifications in dbSNP. Here you will find our latest designs and proposed specifications for submitting, databasing, and exchanging haplotype information. These specifications are a prototype based on available haplotype data for the human HLA gene region where traditional serological alleles have been defined at the molecular (SNP) level. We welcome your suggestions and feedback as we work with the genome centers, academic institutions and our international partners in developing a uniform standard for the description of haplotype data.
