Abstract
A cDNA coding for human seminal inhibitor II was fused to the ompA-gene leader peptide for the expression in E. coli. The secreted protein is biologically active and correctly processed. Inhibitors of human leukocyte elastase were constructed by site-directed mutagenesis.
