Summary: Analysis of pancreas from Wistar males fed the ethanol containing Lieber-DeCarli diet for 8 weeks. Long-term ethanol consumption sensitizes the pancreas to subsequent insults. Results provide insight into the mechanisms underlying the ethanol-mediated sensitization of the pancreas to injury.
