Transcription factor GATA4 deficiency effect on the jejunum
Summary:
Analysis of jejuna of animals whose small intestinal epithelia lack the zinc finger transcription factor GATA4. These mutants exhibit impaired intestinal absorption of dietary fat and cholesterol. Results provide insight into the role of GATA4 in jejunal function.
