Summary: Analysis of various mononuclear cells from patients with severe triple-vessel coronary artery disease (CAD). CD34+ stem cells, CD4+ T-helper cells, CD14+ resting monocytes, LPS-stimulated monocytes, and macrophages were examined. Results provide insight into the pathophysiology of atherosclerosis.
