    Enables histone methyltransferase activity and protein-arginine omega-N asymmetric methyltransferase activity. Involved in RNA splicing and cardiac muscle tissue development. Acts upstream of or within in utero embryonic development and peptidyl-arginine methylation, to asymmetrical-dimethyl arginine. Located in nucleus. Is expressed in several structures, including alimentary system; branchial arch; central nervous system; genitourinary system; and lung.
