SRX11610077: Genome sequencing of Xanthomonas strain NCPPB 579
1 ILLUMINA (Illumina NovaSeq 6000) run: 1.2M spots, 352.6M bases, 109.5Mb downloads

Design: Whole-genome shotgun
Submitted by: University of Exeter
Study: Genome sequencing of pathotype strains of Xanthomonas
show Abstracthide Abstract
Many pathovars within the species Xanthomonas campestris are phylogenetically allied with different species. Here we perform genome-wide sequencing of pathovars pathotype strains that, according to the gyrB-sequence analysis by Parkinson et al. (2009), are phylogenetically close to Xanthomonas euvesicatoria. This allows us to calculate average nucleotide identity (ANI) and thus help to circumscribe species boundaries.
