show Abstracthide AbstractGemini project aims to characterize the populations of Leishmania donovani in Nepal and India that are causing clinical polymorphism despite apparent genomic homogeneity. To understand this diverse severity we characterize the diversity in these pathogen populations on 2 levels; genomics and metabolomics level. We will integrate the genomics and metabolomics data and finally link it back to the clinical polymorphism. The better we understand clinical polymorphism, the better the clinical management, we can use the integrated gemini data to design better tools and thus globally boost disease control.
