show Abstracthide AbstractWe demonstrated that naked mole rats (NMRs) show marked resistance to two types of chemical carcinogenesis. By carcinogenic 3MC- or UV-treatment, both NMR and mouse skin tissues increased DNA-damage and cell death. However, only NMR skin tissues showed markedly dampened inflammatory response, in contrast to mouse skin tissues with marked activation of inflammation. On the other hand, in response to bacterial virulence factors, NMR immune cells can accumulate in tissues as well as mouse immune cells. To gain mechanistic insight, we performed RNA-seq of 3MC-, UV-, LPS-treated NMR and mice skin tissues.
