ERX487303: Illumina HiSeq 2500 paired end sequencing
1 ILLUMINA (Illumina HiSeq 2500) run: 247.4M spots, 47.5G bases, 34.2Gb downloads

Submitted by: Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology (MPI-EVA)
Study: The genome sequence of the North island brown kiwi, Apteryx mantelli
show Abstracthide Abstract
Kiwis (Apteryx spp.) are flightless birds endemic to New Zealand. They are adapted to terrestrial life and ecological niches that, in other parts of the world, are occupied by mammals and reptiles. We sequenced and assembled the brown kiwi genome to identify the genetic changes underlying kiwi specific traits.
Sample: Kiwi individual 1612
