Expression of microRNAs and Protein-coding Genes Associated with Perineural Invasion in Prostate Cancer

(Submitter supplied) BACKGROUND. Perineural invasion (PNI) is the dominant pathway for local invasion in prostate cancer. To date, only few studies have investigated the molecular differences between prostate tumors with PNI and those without it. METHODS. To evaluate the involvement of both microRNAs and protein-coding genes in PNI, we determined their genome-wide expression with a custom microRNA microarray and Affymetrix GeneChips in 50 prostate adenocarcinomas with PNI and 7 without it. more...

MicroRNA profiles of 84 colon adenocarcinomas and paired nontumorous

(Submitter supplied) The goal of this study was to identify microRNAs that were differentially expressed in colon tumors and determine if microRNA expression profiles could predict poor cancer survival. Keywords: disease state design

Unique MicroRNA Expression Signature Predicts Survival, Metastases and Recurrence of HCC

(Submitter supplied) In this study we investigated the miRNA expression profile of Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) specimens from radical resection. We developed a unique 20 miRNA signature that could significantly distinguish HCC venous metastasis from metastasis-free HCC. In contrast to HCC staging systems, this signature was capable of predicting survival and recurrence of HCC patients with multinodular or solitary tumors, including those with early-stage disease. more...
