Title Modulation of post-ischemic remodeling by an acellular hydrogel injection
Organism Ovis aries
Experiment type Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
Summary RNA seq analysis on cardiac tissue samples 21 days after the intramyocardial injection of an acellular hydrogel in infarcted sheep hearts.

Overall design In the experimental design, the in vivo study was powered for statistical significance (power = 0.8), and this required a minimum of four animals per group. The alpha value (Type 1 error) was set at the level of 5% (P = 0.05). Endpoint was set at 28 days post-MI as extensively performed in the field to assess the efficacy of the proposed treatment on the post-ischemic remodeling.
