Overall design |
In the experimental design, the in vivo study was powered for statistical significance (power = 0.8), and this required a minimum of four animals per group. The alpha value (Type 1 error) was set at the level of 5% (P = 0.05). Endpoint was set at 28 days post-MI as extensively performed in the field to assess the efficacy of the proposed treatment on the post-ischemic remodeling.
