Title |
SCC10 |
Sample type |
RNA |
Source name |
skin squamous cell carcinoma
Organism |
Homo sapiens |
Characteristics |
disease state: skin squamous cell carcinoma
Treatment protocol |
Human SCC samples were obtained with Massachusetts General Hospital institutional approval as discarded material during Mohs micrographic surgery. For controls, normal skin was shaved very superficially with a #15 scalpel blade with minimal dermal contamination.
Extracted molecule |
total RNA |
Extraction protocol |
15 μg total RNA from normal epidermis and SCC lesions (all from different patients) were used for RNA probe preparation and hybridization to gene chips (Human Genome U133A 2.0 array; Affymetrix) according to the manufacturer’s recommendations
Label |
biotin
Label protocol |
The resulting cDNAs were used for preparation of biotin-labeled antisense cRNA
Hybridization protocol |
Biotin-labeled cRNA was hybridized on Human Genome U133A 2.0 array according to the manufacturer’s recommendation
Scan protocol |
GeneChips were scanned using the Affymetrix GeneChip Scanner 3000.
Data processing |
Raw data were analyzed using the RMA package, available within Bioconductor.
