Title |
Peripheral blood, normal control [N52] |
Sample type |
RNA |
Source name |
Peripheral blood, normal control
Organism |
Homo sapiens |
Characteristics |
tissue: Peripheral blood disease status: normal control
Treatment protocol |
Blood samples were collected in EDTA tubes within 48-hours of acute myocardial infarction or following recruitment into the study. Nucleated cells were fractionated from 5 mL of heparinized blood.
Growth protocol |
The study samples consisted of whole blood collected from first-time AMI patients within 48-hours post-MI and controls with a normal echocardiogram.
Extracted molecule |
total RNA |
Extraction protocol |
Qiagen RNeasy kit.
Label |
biotin
Label protocol |
Biotinylated cRNA were prepared according to the standard Affymetrix protocol from 100 ng total RNA.
Hybridization protocol |
Following fragmentation, 10 ug of cRNA were hybridized for 16 hr at 45C on Affymetrix Human Genome U133 Plus 2.0 Array (HG-U133_Plus_2). GeneChips were washed and stained in the Affymetrix Fluidics Station 450.
Scan protocol |
GeneChips were scanned using the GeneChip Scanner 3000 7G.
Description |
normal control group
Data processing |
The data were analyzed with R/Bioconductor using RMA.
