Somatosensory cortex was microdissected from 400 micron thick slice. The microdissected tissue chunks were dissociated by pronase E and trituration. Fluorescently labeled neurons from the dissociated cells were hand-sorted under a fluorescent dissection microscope using glass pipette with 50 micron diameter and lysed in XB buffer (Arcturus).
