Extraction protocol |
RNA was extracted with the Trizol reagent using the QIAGEN RNeasy mini kit and followed by clean-up and DNase I treatment in accordance with the protocol provided with the kit. Quality control was performed with the Agilent Bioanalyzer System.

About 500 ng of total RNA was used as starting material to obtain labeled cRNA. cRNA was fragmented in the presence of heat and Mg+2 before hybridization to the the Affymetrix Clariom D human array.

A “rotisserie” oven was used to carry out the array hybridization at 45°C and 60 rpm for 16 hours.
