Treatment protocol |
Rats were subjected to inhalational anesthesia using either sevoflurane (4.5%) or desflurane (6%) and rats were sacrificed by decapitation immediately after their loss of consciousness or after subjection of inhalational anesthesia for 6 hours and then portions of their livers were recovered and immersed in RNAlater until RNA preparation.

Total RNAs were harvested using RNeasy Midi Kit (Qiagen). RNA libraries for RNA-seq were prepared using TruSeq Stranded Total RNA Library Prep Gold Kit (illumina) according to manufacturer’s instruction.

Terminal Sequence reads were trimmed for adaptor sequence/low-quality sequence using sickle (parameter- -q 30 -l 20 ) Trimmed sequence reads were mapped to rn6 using hisat2 and samtools Read count extraction and normalization were performed using Stringtie Assembly: rn6 Supplementary files format and content: tab-delimited text files include RPKM and TPM values for each Sample
