Growth protocol |
The live lymphoblast cell lines (LCLs) of the subjects were grown in RPMI 1640 medium with 2 mM L-glutamine and 25 mM HEPES (Invitrogen, Carlsbad, CA, USA), 10% fetal bovine serum, and 1 × Antibiotic-Antimycotic solution (Invitrogen) at 37°C in a humidified 5% CO2 chamber. Cells were grown to a density of 6 × 10^5/ml.

Extraction protocol |
A total of 9 × 10^6 of lymphoblasts were seeded in a T-75 flask in 30 ml of fresh medium. After 24 h, total RNA was extracted from the cells using an RNeasy Mini Kit with DNase treatment (Qiagen, Valencia, CA, USA) according to the manufacturer's protocol.

Data processing |
Outlier samples were first removed followed by quantile normalisation and combat. All data processing steps were done in R (version 2.14.2).
