Primary cultures derived from P0-P2 mouse pups (cortex or hippocampus), plated 250,000-500,000/well in 6-well dishes, grown 9-11 days until ~confluent (grown in 37C incubator with DMEM+10%FBS media; 100% media changed 24 hours post-plating, 50% media replaced every 2-3 days afterward)

Extraction protocol |
RNA was extracted with Trizol reagent, followed by clean-up and DNase I treatment with QIAGEN RNeasy mini kit in accordance with the prescribed protocol provided with the kit. Quality control was performed with Agilent Bioanalyser.
